THE ROAD LESS TRAVELLED: STRAIGHT MEN IN TEACHING PROFESSION

The purpose of this qualitative multiple case study was to describe the views identified straight men about teaching profession and challenges they faced. There were five teachers by screening committee who participated in study. cases revealed that there is a vital need for because their perceived edge male over female gay teachers. They also viewed motivating concerns deterring issues teaching. Challenges faced includes insecurities early years handling heterogeneous students interpersonal relations with colleagues stringent adherence policies. see themselves as role model father figure both do not have real at home are deprived love care father. considered firm decision maker bears leadership. All participants marked difference uniqueness across case.
